The Ad-Hoc Harm Reduction Committee was created by the Executive Board on April 1, 2010. Its purpose is to minimize negative impacts on the community associated with projects such as RurAL CAP's proposed conversion of the Red Roof Inn to "Karluk Manor", a facilty that will permanently house up to 48 chronic public inebriates. It has since developed an MOA with Brother Francis Shelter and is working to establish relationships with other social service organizations working in the neighborhood
