MOUNTAIN VIEW TARGETED NEIGHBORHOOD PLAN

On Tuesday, September 13th, the Mountain View Targeted Neighborhood Plan was officially adopted by the Anchorage Assembly.

Thank you to the Municipality of Anchorage for their assistance throughout the planning process, and to all of the Mountain View community members who have helped guide the plan, and who testified in support of the plan at the Assembly public hearing and adoption. Please join us on October 19th, 2016, to celebrate the adoption of the plan! A community celebration will take place on Wednesday, October 19th, at 6PM, at Resolution Brewing Company - all are welcome!

In 2012, the planning process began with the Mountain View Community Summit, a three day event where residents and stakeholders came together to envision the future of their community.

Three years later, after countless surveys, focus groups, discussions, and presentations, the Mountain View Targeted Neighborhood Plan has been created, and we want your support as we seek to have the plan adopted by the Municipality of Anchorage, and to make Mountain View a neighborhood of first choice.

The plan envisions a Mountain View that is thriving economically, and that provides employment, quality housing, cultural and recreational amenities, basic services, and a healthy commercial corridor. On September 3rd, 2015, the draft of the Mountain View Targeted Neighborhood Plan was submitted to the Municipality of Anchorage.
